Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, programming, and implementing SCADA-based automation solutions for large-scale Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) in airports and logistics centers. Your expertise in PLC programming, SCADA integration, and conveyor control systems will be instrumental in delivering reliable, efficient, and innovative automation projects that support mission-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Automation Design & Development: Engineer automation solutions for conveyor belts, sorters, diverters, and auxiliary BHS equipment.

· PLC & HMI Programming: Configure and program Rockwell and Siemens Simatic Manager platforms to ensure seamless system control.

· SCADA Integration: Implement and optimize SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and operational efficiency.

· Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed electrical diagrams, logic diagrams, and operational manuals.

· Commissioning & Testing: Support on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of automation systems at client facilities.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with mechanical, IT, and security teams to ensure integrated and compliant project delivery.

· Quality & Safety Assurance: Maintain compliance with technical standards, safety protocols, and project deadlines.

Qualifications & Competencies

· Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

· 5+ years' experience in industrial automation, preferably with conveyor systems or BHS projects.

· Strong expertise in PLC programming (Rockwell / Siemens Simatic Manager).

· Hands-on knowledge of SCADA platforms and integration into complex monitoring systems.

· Proficiency in electrical sizing, electro-pneumatic design, and AutoCAD.

· Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).

· Strong analytical, structured, and detail-oriented mindset.

· Availability for international travel is an advantage.
