Our Accounting Team is looking for a new colleague to fill in our Accounting & Reporting Lead vacant position

What you'll be doing

Job purpose is to lead the implementation and management of complex IFRS projects and ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting under IFRS and Romanian GAAP.

This role supports the Head of Accounting, Reporting and Tax by overseeing critical accounting functions and projects, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality outputs.

Main responsibilities are:

  • Lead the implementation and management of complex IFRS projects, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and timely delivery.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Romanian GAAP.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex accounting issues and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Accounting, Reporting and Tax to support strategic planning and operational execution.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and coordinate their integration into accounting practices.
  • Drive process improvements and internal controls related to accounting and reporting activities.
  • Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders on accounting and reporting matters.

What we're looking for

We are seeking people who:

  • Have extensive expertise in IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 15, IFRS 9 and IAS 12
  • Have strong knowledge of Romanian GAAP accounting principles
  • Proven experience managing complex accounting and reporting projects.
  • Have ability to oversee critical accounting functions and support leadership in decision-making
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Have strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Are detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance and have ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

What you need to know/have

Requirements:

  • This position requires at least 5 years of experience in Financial Accounting and IFRS,
  • Relevant experience in managing accounting projects and financial reporting.
  • University degree in Finance / Economics
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point is a must.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools
  • English and Romanian advanced verbal and written skills.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA or equivalent).
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with IFRS, especially IFRS 15, IFRS 9 and IAS 12.
  • Strong understanding of Romanian GAAP.
