Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Proven background in managing plant commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation and technical reviews.
- Experience developing and implementing commissioning execution plans.
- Familiarity with vendor and subcontractor coordination for commissioning activities.
- Knowledge of HSE standards and ability to integrate safety into project execution.
- Ability to contribute to project scheduling, cost control, and resource planning.
- Skilled in preparing technical evaluations, requisitions, and review of operating manuals.
- Working knowledge of relevant international codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IMO, SOLAS, ISPS, MARPOL, classification society requirements).
- Experience participating in HAZOP or similar safety reviews.
- Competence in reviewing 3D models for operability and accessibility.
- Proficiency in English.
Tasks:
- Review project contracts to identify commissioning and operational obligations.
- Confirm that commissioning and start-up needs are reflected in engineering documentation.
- Prepare and maintain execution strategies for commissioning, start-up, test runs, and training.
- Oversee the creation and validation of operating manuals, test procedures, and handover documentation.
- Define vendor and licensor involvement, schedules, and deliverables for commissioning phases.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to outline subcontractor scopes and technical requirements.
- Develop integrated commissioning schedules and define temporary logistics needs.
- Monitor tools, methods, and resources required to achieve commissioning objectives.
- Attend project reviews to ensure compliance with commissioning requirements.
- Support preparation and validation of HSE documentation for commissioning and start-up.
- Participate in safety review meetings when required.
- Review 3D design models to validate operability and commissioning accessibility.
- Identify commissioning systems, priorities, spare parts, and consumables.
- Track and confirm key performance indicators during office-based activities.
- Provide operational support to ensure compliance with national and international maritime laws.
