Then what?

The System Administrator we're looking for will ensure the efficient, secure, and reliable operation of the bank's IT infrastructure and critical business systems. The role involves infrastructure management, backup and restore operations, storage and virtualization, automation, and participation in security and optimization projects across hybrid and cloud environments.

This position requires on-site presence 4 days per week (Bucharest office).

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, monitor, and maintain operating systems, storage environments, and related products; manage performance, capacity, lifecycle, and patching.
  • Ensure high availability, security, and optimized performance of physical and virtual servers and storage platforms (AIX LPAR, VMware, TSM, VEEAM, etc.).
  • Define, implement, and monitor backup and restore policies to ensure consistency and recovery readiness.
  • Monitor IT infrastructure, identify anomalies, troubleshoot, and resolve system performance or technical issues.
  • Automate administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT system administration, preferably in enterprise or banking environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and AIX operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with backup and restore tools (TSM, VEEAM, etc.), virtualization platforms (VMware, AIX LPAR) and storage management.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure management.
  • Exposure to high availability and disaster recovery design.
