PROJECT DETAILS

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Backend Developer with deep expertise in API architecture, server-side logic, and backend development using the Rhino JavaScript engine.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with OCAPI, SCAPI (custom and native endpoints), managing versioned endpoints, and extending commerce functionality through controllers, pipelines, jobs, and services.

This role is focused on backend development within a headless and hybrid (SFRA + SiteGenesis) environment, and requires solid understanding of Git-based workflows and CI/CD release processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Backend Development (SCAPI / OCAPI / Business Logic)

• Design and implement custom and native SCAPI endpoints, following proper versioning and security patterns.
• Extend and maintain server-side logic in SFCC using Rhino-based controllers and pipelines.
• Integrate and manage OCAPI hooks for storefront interactions.
• Develop and maintain jobs, services, and scheduled logic.

System Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor job executions, logs, and system performance to ensure uptime and stability.
• Analyze errors, identify root causes, and resolve backend issues proactively.
• Maintain logging and monitoring standards for key backend processes and integrations.

Platform Enhancements & Feature Development

• Work closely with product owners and business stakeholders to identify areas of improvement or automation.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable features.
• Contribute to the architecture of reusable cartridges and services for multi-site setups.

CI/CD & Git Workflow Management

• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Implement and follow Git flow branching strategy (feature, hotfix, release).
• Use sfcc-ci for automated deployments, code uploads, and sandbox management.

SKILLS

• 4+ years of experience in SFCC backend development (B2C Commerce)
• Hands-on experience with SCAPI, OCAPI, SLAS
• Proficiency in Rhino JS, cartridge architecture, controllers, pipelines
• Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD, release pipelines, and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with headless commerce principles, or middleware APIs
• Experience with jobs, service framework, and data integrations
