As an Electrical Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for programming, operating, and troubleshooting automated control systems, such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) on the fully automated and semi-automated production lines. You will colaborate with the technical team to repair and troubleshoot fully automated control systems of production lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently executes maintenance and repair work in the field of electricity and automation for the company's installations, equipment, machines, and tools, in accordance with the maintenance plan and upon the occurrence of faults.
  • Evaluates and maintains the electrical hardware and software necessary to meet the automation needs of production.
  • Operates, maintains, and debugs many types of equipment such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Instrumentation and Data Acquisition (DAQ) Systems of fully automated production lines.
  • Operates, designs and programs PLC and HMI interfaces to assist manufacturing/ production processes and eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Writes / interprets machine specifications for / from vendors.
  • Designs appropriate safety level for each application to ensure operator safety.
  • Calculates electrical power requirements for machine tools and data systems.
  • Integrates and programs robotics into processes and machine tools.
  • Designs data acquisition system to collect process data from machine tools.
  • Programs displays and data acquisition systems using C programming language and Visual Basic.
  • Connects and programs data acquisition system to SQL server.
  • Writes SQL reports for managers or appropriate personnel for process troubleshooting.
  • Performs electrical repair and automation work in the site installations.
  • Maintains and conducts periodic backups of parameters and programs from electrical equipment, PLCs, servo drives, frequency converters, safety relays etc.
  • Does NOT bypass safety elements of machines and equipment.
  • Does NOT bypass functional elements of electrical equipment.
  • Identifies the installation or part of the installation where work is to be done, as well as the malfunction to be remedied.
  • Disconnects the power and separates the installation or part of the installation, as applicable, on which work is to be performed.
  • Checks for the absence of voltage and ensures immediate grounding of the installation or part of the installation.

Candidate's Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in the manufacturing/ production area.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/ Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited university – Or an accredited technical school with an Electronic/ Electrical Engineering Degree in Electronic Technology or Industrial Systems.
  • Certification as an ANRE Licensed Electrician.
  • Advanced knowledge of fully automated production lines and safety system design.
  • Advanced technical knowledge regarding various production lines.
  • Solid knowledge of the spare parts for production lines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
