About GS1 Data Exchange

GS1 Romania is the organization that manages the international GS1 standards in Romania, supporting companies in the unique identification of products, as well as the collection and exchange of high-quality data across the supply chain.

We are committed to enabling a standardized, secure, and accurate data ecosystem, helping manufacturers, retailers, and industry partners optimize their processes, reduce errors, and increase efficiency.

Our services include the management of GS1 licenses, product data validation, support in using GTIN codes and GS1 labels, as well as the implementation of digital solutions for data quality.

What You Will Do

Validate product data provided by brand owners in accordance with GS1 standards.

Check the structure and correctness of GTINs (product codes) and mandatory product attributes.

Analyze and compare data from GS1 platforms (e.g., Validated by GS1) with the information submitted by clients.

Identify errors, inconsistencies, or incomplete information and communicate with manufacturers for clarification.

Document all validation activity and update the status of each processed GTIN.

Collaborate with the technical team and other GS1 teams to handle more complex cases.

Ideal Profile

Experience working with data, databases, Excel, data validation or information management — is an advantage.

Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work with manufacturers and suppliers.

Comfortable using web platforms and digital tools.

Motivated to learn concepts such as GTIN, standard attributes, GS1 prefix, validation processes, data quality, etc.

English language skills at a medium level.

Organized, responsible, and able to prioritize tasks efficiently.
