For our client, a global leader in the chemical industry, we are recruiting a Senior Tax Specialist (fixed period).

Responsibilities:

Preparing and verifying monthly VAT journals for sales and purchases;

Producing and submitting tax declarations and other reports to the tax authorities;

Ensuring timely computation and compliance for taxes (CIT, IMCA, Pillar 2, VAT, withholding tax, etc.);

Preparing and submitting VAT declarations.

Participating in accounting-related activities;

Monitoring SPV and performing E-VAT checks;

Being involved in the preparation of the transfer pricing file;

Following changes in tax legislation and implementing those relevant for the company;

Supporting business units with advice on tax-related matters;

Consulting with external tax consultants on tax matters;

Complying with group requirements regarding accounting, tax risk reporting, Pillar 2 calculations, VAT risk, etc;

Providing support for various local and group projects;

Providing support for the annual external financial audit and internal audit;

Liaising with tax authorities.

Required:

Experience in handling tax-related matters and interaction with tax authorities;

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position (or having partially held similar responsibilities) within a (medium-sized) multinational company.;

Very good knowledge of Romanian tax legislation;

Previous experience working with SAP;

Fluency in written and spoken English;

Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel.
