What We're Looking For
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized
Senior Tax & Accounting Specialist
to manage and oversee our financial-accounting operations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Romanian tax legislation, solid accounting expertise, and the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys both operational accounting and fiscal consultancy, within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage day-to-day financial-accounting operations, including preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual statements on VAT, WHT, corporate tax, transfer pricing, D394, D390, D406, sponsorship.
- Ensure accuracy of financial data in the accounting system.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting as per the manager's requests.
- Active involvement in audit processes and financial statements preparation.
- Identify areas for process improvement.
- Being the contact person for all departments for fiscal issues and questions.
- Supporting with special tasks and projects.
- Contracts review from a fiscal point of view.
What You Need To Know / Have
- Degree in economics or related field.
- Strong Excel skills and good knowledge of MS Office.
- Advance English proficiency.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle complex tasks with tight deadlines.
- Excellent planning, organization and communication skills.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of accounting and tax legislation.
- Knowledge of IFRS regulations is nice to have.
