Our client is looking for an experienced professional to join their internal audit function in Bucharest, where the focus goes far beyond routine reviews. This role offers the chance to influence strategic direction across a global industrial organisation while working in an environment that values innovation, continuous improvement, and tangible business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver diverse audits across international operations, addressing financial, operational, and compliance risk areas.
  • Provide insightful, data-driven recommendations that support senior management in strengthening governance and risk management.
  • Partner with cross-border teams to enhance control frameworks and embed best practices across the business.
  • Apply modern audit techniques, leveraging analytics and digital solutions to drive efficiency and agility.
  • Contribute to the ongoing transformation of audit practices, while supporting knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field—or equivalent professional background.
  • Professional certifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CIA, or CISA.
  • Solid experience in internal audit, finance, or commercial functions, underpinned by strong technical understanding of controls and accounting principles.
  • Experience from a Big 4 environment is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with data and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx) is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, up to 50%, as part of a truly global remit.
