Proposal Engineer with German

As a Project Proposal Engineer  with German, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Technical & Commercial Project Proposals to our customers in Europe across various process industries (such as Life Sciences, Chemical, Energy, Power and Renewables) within automation projects business portfolios and support Emerson sales teams in the pursuit of new business opportunities. This role requires the proposal delivery management of a broad variety of projects ranging from small to medium ones, as well as delivery of sub-scope of large size and/or complex project proposals, working under the leadership of a Proposal Manager or Proposal Lead, with the focus on winning more orders for the company.

  In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• To ensure understanding, managing and satisfying each requirement or expectation from customers or the company's partners through remote communication or site visits; acting as a trusted advisor.
• To take full ownership of the delivery of the assigned technical and commercial project proposals scope, or sub-scope of large size and/or complex project proposals led by Proposal Manager or Lead, within automation projects business portfolio, following the standard process; ensure the innovative and efficient solutions are proposed; proactively apply methodologies, resources and techniques for minimizing the proposal preparation effort, whilst maintaining the requisite schedule and quality; ensure partners are proactively informed on the status or any challenges.
• To acquire, maintain and actively share knowledge and experience with the team and the more comprehensive organization; supporting the on-the-job development of other Project Proposal Engineers.
• To tackle other responsibilities or tasks, including those related to Ethics and Information Security policies within the skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed. The business reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments in line with business requirements.

  For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in the Engineering field.
• Proficiency in English and German (written and verbal) and excellent communication skills.
• Good technical understanding of process automation, DCS (Distributed Control System) and/or PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems, computer infrastructure and network architecture.
• Computer literate (MS Office).

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience in commercial and sales support activities.
• Experience in the process automation field for various industries.
