As an
Data Center Services - VMware Solution Manager
, you will lead the design, optimization, and governance of virtualization and datacenter infrastructure, with a primary focus on VMware. This hybrid role combines technical architecture, Level 3 operations support, and external service provider management to ensure a secure, scalable, and high-performing IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize datacenter infrastructure, including compute, storage, backup, networking, and VMware-based virtualization platforms.
  • Implement scalable and secure architectures aligned with industry best practices and business continuity standards.
  • Lead service provider oversight, manage SLAs, and drive vendor performance improvements.
  • Provide Level 3 expert support and troubleshooting for VMware environments (vSphere, Horizon, NSX, Aria, VSAN).
  • Plan capacity, refresh cycles, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Define and enforce IT service management processes including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives within datacenter operations.
  • Stay up to date on datacenter trends and emerging technologies to guide long-term strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in datacenter infrastructure architecture or operations.
  • Deep technical expertise in VMware vSphere, NSX, Horizon, Aria Suite, SRM, and VDI environments.
  • Strong understanding of storage, backup, SAN, converged infrastructure, and DC networking (LAN, NAS, FC).
  • Familiarity with security, compliance, monitoring, and capacity planning in enterprise datacenters.
  • Experience managing service providers, SLAs, and vendor performance is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and service management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English, with intercultural sensitivity.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and experience in automation, risk mitigation, and cost optimization.
