These benchmark databases are a strategic company asset, where we need to make most out of.

We're looking for an innovative and hands-on Benchmark Business Intelligence Development Manager to join our Global Insight & Innovation team. This is a unique opportunity to own and evolve one of Toluna's most strategic assets: our benchmark databases.

In this role, you will build automation systems, design and maintain databases, and generate insights that fuel smarter decisions for our clients worldwide. You'll collaborate with diverse teams across solution management, R&D, research, and advanced analytics/data science, making this a role with both technical depth and global visibility.

Responsibilities:

As Benchmark BI Development Manager, you will:

• Build & Automate – Design and optimize data pipelines and automation platforms to streamline benchmark data collection.
• Ensure Data Integrity – Implement robust governance, quality checks, and transformation processes to guarantee high reliability.
• Maintain & Evolve Databases – Own the setup, maintenance, and evolution of benchmark databases to meet changing business needs.
• Generate Insights – Deliver impactful reports and calculated files that empower business leaders and researchers globally.
• Collaborate Across Borders – Partner with research, solution managers, R&D, and advanced analytics/data science across multiple countries and time zones.
• Innovate for the Future – Stay ahead of emerging trends, proactively shaping the way benchmark intelligence evolves.

Required skill set:

• 4+ years' experience in BI development, data engineering, data analytics, or data science.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong track record in business process re-engineering and database optimization.
• Hands-on experience with:
• AWS or Azure (cloud data environments)
• Python & SQL (advanced proficiency)
• Data pipelines, deployments, and Git
• Excellent communicator able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong project management skills, with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Nice to have skills:

• Experience writing calibration scripts and collaborating with data science teams.
• Knowledge of advanced analytical methods (eg, outlier and error detection, sensitivity analysis)
• Familiarity and/or affinity with (market) research/insights environments.
