What you will do:

  • Support for automating the pseudonymization of data after rebuilding a database through ETL development.
  • Systematic evaluation of database parameters across all databases and development of necessary changes for further automation.
  • Provide visualizations and selections for database information systems to implement systematic quality checks.
  • Further develop Ansible scripts for inline patching and extend them for PDB.
  • Participate in patches for Oracle databases and other DB technologies as needed.
  • Ensure Git versioning.
  • Standardize Oratab and Oracle Home settings.
  • Adapt existing scripts for Cloud Move.
  • Additional automation for environment configuration.
  • Maintaining and supporting day-to-day work in the database team of Personal Investment (Consorz Bank in Germany).
  • Implementation of database services after go-live.
  • Creating new databases and environments in a large RAC environment.
  • Configuring services for applications taking into account particularities such as not being RAC capable.
  • Ensuring reliability or proactive participation in outage avoidance measures.
  • Resolving production outages competently and promptly.
  • Converting Oracle CDB/ PDB databases.
  • Analyzing and defining cardinality for legacy applications on RAC.
  • Participating in launch missions.
  • Providing participation services from the database team on projects, e.g. Move2Cloud and regulatory requirements and POCs.
  • Analyzing security gaps systematically and developing solutions.
  • Analyze and remediate performance issues.
  • Optimize database monitoring.

What you must have:

  • Sound and long-standing knowledge of database technologies and their operating processes (Oracle, PostgreSQL, ideally also MSSQL, MongoDB and Elasticsearch).
  • Good experience with Oracle Exadata Cloud Customer.
  • Very good knowledge of shell and ansible scripting.
  • Good knowledge of Git.
  • High technical understanding in IT infrastructure services.
  • Ideally, in-depth expertise in the development, operation and sourcing of data center services in the banking environment.
  • Several years of experience in IT migration and/or development projects, ideally cloud-based. and/or experience in migrating databases in a data center move desirable.
  • Good knowledge of common project management methods (classic, agile).
  • Experience in working with common collaboration tools, such as Confluence, Jira.
  • High integration capability.
  • Structured, goal-oriented and solution-oriented way of working.
  • Strong communication and organizational, persistent, sustainable.
  • Communication English required, and German (NICE TO HAVE).
