Remote Engineer
and take the lead in configuring, powering up, and commissioning
Ciena 6500 RLS and Waveserver
devices — all from the comfort of your home.

You'll be at the heart of
optical network activation
, ensuring smooth integrations and reliable performance for our global customers.


What You'll Do

  • Remotely
    configure, commission, and activate
    Ciena 6500 RLS and Waveserver devices
  • Perform
    software upgrades
    ,
    license validation
    , and
    configuration backups
  • Manage
    power-up and activation procedures
    in collaboration with on-site smart hands teams
  • Monitor system performance
    and validate optical parameters using network tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve
    commissioning and configuration issues
  • Use
    automation and zero-touch provisioning (ZTP)
    for efficient deployments
  • Document
    all commissioning activities and configuration changes
  • Support
    link calibration, fiber loss compensation,
    and
    connectivity validation
  • Work closely with
    Network Operations, Engineering,
    and
    Customer teams
    for seamless handover


What You Bring

  • Experience in
    optical networks
    ,
    data centers
    , or
    DWDM technologies
  • Understanding of
    photonic configuration
    and
    L0 Control Plane (L0CP)
  • Ability to
    write and execute EMOPs
  • Solid knowledge of
    fiber connectivity
    ,
    optical measurements
    , and
    basic network protocols
  • Familiarity with
    automation/scripting
    (CLI, TL1, Python) — a plus
  • Experience with
    Ciena devices
    and
    engineering documentation (DND)
    — an advantage
  • Strong
    analytical, troubleshooting, and communication
    skills
  • Comfortable working
    independently or in a remote team
  • Intermediate English (B1+)
  • Flexibility to work
    shift schedules
    based on project needs
