Summary

We're seeking a skilled Business Analyst to drive the success of our SCM applications by leading projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, documenting, and managing all project requirements, use cases, and technical specifications. You will also create comprehensive test cases and user guides, ensuring our solutions are high-quality and well-understood by end-users. Your expertise will be crucial in translating business needs into technical requirements and delivering exceptional results.

Detailed Description

First full level of specialization; applies expertise in more than one area of specialization. Work is performed within established professional standards, established policy, and/or established objectives. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Incumbents are accountable for quality of work delivered by external suppliers as applicable. May influence others outside of team to ensure goals are met and resolves conflicts in an effective manner. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the site's/major function's operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Receives guidance primarily on unique, unusual, or controversial problems or questions. May lead a work group or project team consisting of one or more support staff and/or tech/professional staff with some coaching from own supervisor, or may provide advice and guidance in area of specialty. Seeks out new avenues for building internal and external relationships; maintains contacts with existing relationships.

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Formulates and manages project plans by defining deliverables, identifying key milestones, regularly reviewing project progress and engaging in ongoing risk management;
• Coordinates and directs all the functional groups involved with a pre-defined project in order to meet objectives on content, quality, costs, and schedules;
• Ensures team members and customers are provided with timely and accurate project information and status updates;
• Resolves project related issues with clients. Establishes and documents meetings with clients regarding specific project issues and phases.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• Excellent project management skills;
• Expertise in Requirements Definition & Management (Functional & Non-Functional);
• Proficiency in Use Case Modeling and Process Mapping;
• Ability to Develop and Trace Test Cases from Requirements;
• Hands-on Experience with Test Execution and Defect Management;
• Data Analysis and SQL proficiency to extract, manipulate, and analyze data;
• Understanding of System Architecture and Integrations (APIs);
• Knowledge of Enterprise Systems (ERP, CRM) and Cloud Technologies;
• Software design knowledge (Agile, SDLC, etc.);
• Basic Understanding of programming languages and platforms;
• Understanding of Supply Chain Management processes;
• Experience with Relational Databases (Oracle DB, SQL, PL/SQL);
• Knowledge of build & development best-practices/tools (e.g., Use of SVN, IDEs, etc.);
• Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies;
• Knowledge of various web servers (IIS, Apache, IBM http server) and application servers (IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, Tomcat) would be considered an asset;
• Strong presentation skills;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, disciplined, professional and a team player.

Typical Experience

• 5 years experience in a similar role

Typical Education

• University degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Business Administration

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
• Occasional overnight travel is required.
