What will you be doing?

As
Engineering Manager
, you will be responsible for leading the engineering function for all solar PV projects globally. You will drive design excellence, ensure technical compliance, and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team in delivering optimized, cost-effective, and high-performance renewable energy projects.

Technical and Strategic Leadership:

• Define and implement the engineering strategy across a diverse portfolio of utility-scale Solar PV projects.
• Provide technical direction and oversight from feasibility through to detailed design and execution.
• Work closely with senior leadership, construction, procurement, and development teams to align engineering deliverables with project and business goals.

Engineering Oversight:

• Oversee the preparation and review of all engineering documentation including conceptual, basic, and detailed designs.
• Ensure engineering compliance with international codes, standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE), and local regulatory requirements.
• Drive standardization across engineering processes and design packages to improve efficiency and scalability.

Quality, Compliance, and Innovation:

• Enforce design quality control, safety compliance, and best practices in engineering.
• Lead technical risk assessments and value engineering efforts to optimize system performance and costs.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and innovations in solar PV, BESS, and hybrid energy systems.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, partners, and regulatory bodies during development and execution.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, construction, and O&M teams to ensure seamless transition from design to execution and operation.
• Support bid teams with technical input during tenders and proposals.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a global team of engineers across electrical, civil, structural, and mechanical disciplines.
• Establish KPIs and performance metrics to ensure team efficiency and accountability.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

Are you the ideal candidate?

You will bring the following to succeed in this role:

• Experience
  : 7+ years in engineering roles within the renewable energy or power generation sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Technical Depth
  : Strong understanding of utility-scale solar PV systems, hybrid systems, grid connections, and applicable codes and standards.
• Project Expertise
  : Proven ability to manage engineering for multi-megawatt projects from concept to construction.
• Leadership
  : Experience building and leading high-performing engineering teams across multiple locations.
• Communication
  : Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical presentation skills.
• Software Knowledge
  : Proficient in PVsyst, AutoCAD, PVCase, ETAP, or similar engineering tools.
