Job Summary

We're looking for a strategic, hands-on Finance & Compliance Lead who thrives on structure and knows how to turn complexity into clarity.

This role is about building a modern, AI-driven finance engine that gives Packsify stability, clarity, and scale.

You'll collaborate directly with the CEO and COO, shaping the business through financial insight and operational systems, not just numbers.

You'll think big-picture, align with growth, and turn financial intelligence into strategic advantage.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll automate what slows us down, simplify what's complex, and build a back office ready for global scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Cash Flow & Billing: Own the full lifecycle of Packsify Credits. Keep balances accurate, cash flows predictable, and every transaction reconciled to the cent.
  • Payment Infrastructure: Manage and improve reliability across Stripe, Revolut, and Crypto. Reduce failed payments with smart retries, backup methods, and automation.
  • Financial Intelligence: Use AI tools and data analytics to model cash, forecast growth, and simulate risk. Turn finance into a strategic function, not a reactive one.
  • Cross-Team Leadership: Work directly with Product, Operations, and Growth to guide decisions through financial logic. Connect the dots between business reality and financial precision.
  • Compliance & Controls: Build a modern compliance framework for a digital-first company. Manage KYC, GDPR, PCI, and supplier agreements with confidence and foresight.
  • Disputes & Risk: Lead chargeback strategy and dispute win processes. Keep chargebacks below 0.5% of GMV and maintain strong processor relationships.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Deliver 13-week cash forecasts, real-time dashboards, and monthly closes in ≤5 days. Build systems that anyone can trust and understand.
  • Team & Scale: Act as a builder-first leader. Create SOPs, hire smart as volume grows, and shape what the finance team of the future looks like.

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years in finance operations, payments, or compliance in fast-moving startups.
  • Proven record managing reconciliations, chargebacks, and processor risk (Stripe, Revolut, Crypto).
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, product, or growth teams.
  • Strong data skills, ClickUp, Sheets, Xero, or lightweight BI tools (Looker).
  • Hands-on with AI tools (ChatGPT, Notion AI, or automation stacks like Make/Zapier).
  • Player-coach mindset, build systems, lead by doing, then scale through others.

Bonus points if:

  • You've built finance systems in gaming, fintech, or stored-value products.
  • You've implemented automated reconciliations or real-time cash forecasting.
  • You've led or partnered with founders on financial strategy and compliance scaling.
