Our client, a supplier to Aerospace industry in Bucharest, Romania, is currently looking to add contracts Assemblers-Mechanics to help support the production. Aircraft Structure Assemblers / Mechanical Fitters are going to inspect, assemble, and repair critical aircraft structures and systems. This includes work on cockpit sections, landing gear, hydraulic systems, and deicing components in order to ensuring structural integrity, performance, and compliance with quality standards.

Contract Type:

6-month contract (renewable)

Compensation:

Depending on experience and shift availability

Work Schedule:

Day shift and evening shift (candidates should ideally be flexible to work both shifts)

In your role, you will:

  • Assemble and install aircraft structural components, including cockpit sections, based on technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Inspect and repair mechanical systems such as landing gear, hydraulic and deicing systems for cracks, fissures, leaks, or other faults.
  • Conduct dismantling, assembly, and functional testing of installations and systems.
  • Follow technological processes and specifications for mechanical and structural tasks.
  • Use measuring and control instruments to verify tolerances, alignments, and component fit.
  • Organize and maintain the workspace and ensure all required tools, materials, and devices are used efficiently and correctly.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and other team members to meet production and safety standards.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to health and safety procedures.
  • Willingness to work on evening shifts as required to support production cadence

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Proficiency in mechanical installations and related service-area systems.
  • Skilled in using measuring, control, and testing tools (calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, etc.).
  • Knowledge of aircraft manufacturing processes, particularly disassembly, reassembly, and system testing.
  • Ability to identify structural and mechanical issues through inspection and testing.
  • Strong organizational skills in managing tools, workspace, and materials.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to integrate quickly into new work environments.

Qualifications

  • Secondary education, vocational school, or technical high school diploma in mechanics, aeronautics, or a related field.
  • Specialized training in aircraft mechanics or structural assembly is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in aerospace or mechanical assembly roles is a strong asset.
  • Romanian language proficiency (required to understand work documentation and instructions).
  • English proficiency is an advantage.
