General Accountant

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day accounting activities for the Romania entity. The role requires strong understanding of Romanian Tax & Accounting requirements, robust financial controls, and the ability to collaborate with cross-border teams

Key Responsibilities:

1. Account Payables and Expenses

2. Review and assess vendor contracts for pricing, terms, payment conditions, and compliance with internal policies;
   Identify potential financial or legal risks and suggest mitigations

3. Prepare weekly and monthly payment plans

aligned with cash flow, approvals, and contractual terms.
- Prioritize payments to optimize working capital while adhering to internal controls
- Submit payment requests (tickets) in the accounting/approval system; Ensure all required documentation is attached and approvers are properly routed
- Monitor payment workflow status and resolve bottlenecks to avoid delays
- AP Reconciliation: Reconcile purchase requests (PR) and purchase orders (PO) with vendor invoices and supporting documents; Ensure accuracy of vendor balances before payment submission
- Monitor AP Aging reports to ensure timely payments and identify overdue items
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve aging issues and prevent penalties

1. Revenue and Costing Accounting

2. Collaborate with legal team to
   prepare the sale service agreements

with clients
- Issue monthly sales invoices
- Recognize revenue

in accordance with contract terms and applicable accounting standards
- Manage accounts receivable

: monitor collections, reconcile customer subledgers, and follow up on overdue balances
- Prepare
monthly revenue reports

for management and auditors
- Develop and maintain a gaming-specific costing framework (cost pools, allocation bases, and overhead absorption) and
calculate cost of sales at month-end
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Live teams to provide
cost analytics

, performance insights, and budgeting support

1. Daily Bookkeeping, Monthly Closings and Tax Reports

2. Record daily journal entries in the Romanian statutory books

3. Prepare and close monthly local Romanian financial statements in compliance with Romanian GAAP or applicable standards
4. Prepare and close month management accounting report
5. Prepare and submit local VAT, Corporate Income Tax (CIT), and other applicable tax filings in accordance with Tax & Accounting regulations
6. Ensure timely submission and accurate reporting, maintain supporting documentation and tax calendars for Romanian Entity
7. Prepare

intercompany reconciliations where applicable

1. Other duties

2. Support ad-hoc financial analyses, process improvements, and system enhancements related to accounting and reporting

3. Other finance operational admin works assigned by Global Head of Finance

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance (industry experience in gaming or tech-driven companies is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of Romanian GAAP/Tax rules, VAT, CIT
• Familiarity with international accounting for overseas entities and intercompany transactions.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software; experience with AP/GL modules, and workflow/approval systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills in Romanian and English (written and spoken) to liaise with local and international teams.
