About the Role

Orbital Ignition Interactive is developing Taliara's Rise
, a high-quality free-to-play mobile title blending tabletop strategy and stylized fantasy visuals. We are seeking an experienced
Unity Mobile Game Developer
to join our core engineering team and help deliver a polished, scalable product for a global audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gameplay Implementation:
    Design and develop core systems including dice mechanics, hex-tile board logic, mini-games, and live-event features.
  • Mobile Optimization:
    Ensure high performance and stability across iOS and Android devices, focusing on memory management, GPU efficiency, and smooth frame rates.
  • Systems & Architecture:
    Contribute to game architecture decisions, maintain clean, modular code, and integrate third-party services (analytics, IAP, ads, push notifications).
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with designers, artists, and producers to translate creative concepts into reliable, production-ready features.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Support testing, debugging, and performance profiling throughout development and post-launch.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of professional Unity/C# development
    with at least one shipped mobile title (free-to-play preferred).
  • Strong understanding of mobile optimization, asynchronous programming, and Unity Addressables or similar asset-management systems.
  • Experience integrating backend services such as Firebase, PlayFab, or equivalent.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to clean, maintainable code.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with live-ops tools, in-game economy design, or analytics pipelines.
  • Knowledge of multiplayer or networked gameplay systems.
  • Interest in stylized, high-polish mobile visuals and interactive UI.
