Taliara's Rise
, a stylized AAA-quality free-to-play mobile game that blends board game strategy with fantasy storytelling. Our world is whimsical yet epic, and we're looking for a
VFX Artist specialized in animation
to help bring it to life through magical, playful, and emotionally resonant effects.

Responsibilities

  • Create
    animated VFX
    for characters, abilities, environments, UI, and cinematic sequences.
  • Work closely with animators and designers to ensure VFX enhance
    motion, timing, and emotional beats
    .
  • Design effects that are clear, stylized, and highly readable for a
    mobile audience
    .
  • Collaborate with the art director to define a consistent
    VFX style language
    for factions and abilities.
  • Prepare effects for handoff to the tech art team for integration and optimization.
  • Provide animated previews, reels, or storyboards of effects for review and iteration.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in games, animation, or cinematics as a VFX artist.
  • Strong portfolio showing
    animated stylized effects
    (fantasy magic, attacks, UI, etc.).
  • Proficiency with
    Unity particle systems, VFX Graph, or equivalent tools
    .
  • Deep understanding of
    timing, motion, impact, and animation principles
    for VFX.
  • Ability to collaborate with animators, character artists, and tech artists.

Nice to Have

  • Experience creating
    cinematic or trailer-quality effects
    .
  • Familiarity with free-to-play mobile games and
    stylized aesthetics
    (Clash Royale, League of Legends, etc.).
  • Background in 2D/3D animation or motion graphics.
