As Product Owner for B2B2C Auto Lending, you will own and grow the lending product offering embedded at physical merchants' checkout in the Auto industry. You will be responsible for tailoring and evolving the Instore lending flow for Auto dealers and service providers, ensuring alignment with both merchant needs and customer expectations, while maintaining compliance and profitability.

You will act as the product expert for the Auto segment, combining customer insight, market knowledge, and lending expertise to build a differentiated and scalable solution in a highly competitive vertical.

This is a cross-country role designed to build scalable, customer-centric business banking solutions across tbi's footprint.

What You'll do:

Product Ownership & Strategy

• Define the product vision and roadmap for Auto merchants within the Instore lending product line in collaboration with the dedicated Business Owner, ensuring alignment between commercial strategy and product development.
• Translate Auto industry trends, dealer network structures, and customer needs into product requirements and business strategies.
• Prioritize initiatives and features based on impact, scalability, and alignment with business and profitability objectives.
• Serve as the domain expert on Auto lending within the organization.

Product Growth & Profitability

• Identify and execute growth opportunities in the Auto vertical (e.g. increasing merchant penetration, improving conversion, optimizing pricing).
• Continuously monitor product performance and define strategies to improve unit economics, ticket size, customer retention, and revenue.
• Collaborate with Risk, Finance, and Data teams to adapt approval logic, pricing, and cost models specific to the Auto segment.

Merchant-Centric Product Design

• Engage directly with Auto merchants (dealers, service networks, etc.) to understand their needs, pain points, and value drivers.
• Design tailored merchant onboarding, integration, and lending flows suitable for Auto use cases.
• Lead the development of value-added features and commercial tools for Auto merchants (e.g. post-sale services, vehicle-related financing, bundles).

Customer Journey Optimization

• Ensure a smooth and intuitive experience for Auto customers choosing financing at point of sale.
• Adapt the customer journey to the specifics of Auto purchases (e.g. high-value tickets, service bundling, multi-party flows).

Product Development Oversight

• Guide the product development process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features in line with the product roadmap and requirements.
• Take part in regular sprint meetings, provide feedback, and answer all developers' questions related to the requested functionalities, and adjust priorities as needed to meet product goals.
• Act as a primary point of contact between stakeholders and the development team, managing expectations, gathering feedback, and addressing concerns.
• Take an active role in features testing in UAT and business acceptance.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Business Analysts, UX, Compliance, Risk, Marketing, and Operations etc. to ensure successful product delivery and adaptation.
• Communicate product updates, releases, and progress to stakeholders and the wider organization.
• Maintain in-depth product knowledge and act as the Go-To Expert for all product-related requests.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Strong experience in product ownership, product development, or business strategy roles.
• Demonstrated ability to own a product lifecycle end-to-end in a financial or embedded finance setting.
• Proven track record of delivering results through cross-functional teams.
• Business-oriented mindset with focus on growth, operational efficiency, and profitability.
• Analytical thinking and experience working with data-driven product decisions.
• Familiarity with the Auto industry, dealer networks, aftermarket services, sales cycles, and Auto financing models.
• Understanding of Auto merchant dynamics and customer buying behavior in this vertical.
• Ability to translate industry specifics into product strategies and flows.
• Experience working with value-added services or commercial products in Auto space is a strong plus.
