What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing the design, implementation, and management of storage solutions, ensuring efficiency, security, and scalability to meet organizational needs. 
  • Leading a team of storage engineers and collaborating with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal operation of storage infrastructure.
  • Overseeing the design, deployment, and maintenance of storage systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security
  • Managing and mentoring a team of storage engineers, fostering collaboration and productivity while providing guidance for successful project execution
  • Monitoring storage usage and planning for future capacity needs, ensuring efficient and cost-effective allocation of resources
  • Implementing and maintaining performance monitoring tools to track storage system health and optimizing configurations for improved performance and reliability
  • Ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements by implementing best practices for data protection, encryption, and access control
  • Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans for storage systems, ensuring effective backup and recovery processes with regular testing
  • Managing relationships with storage vendors and service providers, evaluating and selecting solutions that align with organizational requirements
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of storage infrastructure, configurations, and procedures, and preparing regular reports on performance, capacity, and issues
  • Collaborating with network, server, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and smooth operation of storage systems
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest storage technologies and trends, implementing new strategies to enhance storage infrastructure and operations

What you'll bring along  

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field would be nice to have
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in storage management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale storage systems
  • Deep knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and DAS. Familiarity with storage management tools and software
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of IT professionals
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex storage issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • In-depth understanding of storage security best practices, including data encryption and access control
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and evaluating storage solutions
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Storage Networking Expert (CSNE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or similar
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English
