Position Overview
DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank's technology center in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank's technology transformation.
We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank's technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.
Within the Chief Security Office (CSO), the Chief Technology Office (CTO) is responsible for the development of security solutions that enable the global CSO organization to identify and address current threats. In addition, the department is responsible for the implementation of the information security (IS) program for the bank-wide strategic cloud initiative.
As part of CTO, the Project Manager will independently lead projects within a large transformation program in the context of our cloud transformation using innovative technology.
Responsibilities
- Project scope management: evaluate vendor project plans ensuring stable dates, crystal-clear scope definition, clearly outlined dependencies, risks, issues and rigorous control to prevent creep.
- Enforcement of RACI & accountability: define, communicate, and enforce a detailed RACI matrix, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and individual accountability across all project activities and deliverables, especially with the vendor.
- Transparent & proactive communication to management: establish a consistent and transparent communication plan that provides timely, accurate, and evidence-based updates to senior management, highlighting issues and proposed solutions to support the Senior Program Manager with decision-making and execution.
- Document Management: Management of project artifacts and reports, utilize data to validate vendor progress, highlight discrepancies, and inform all management communications and work with auditors to provide evidence of effective controls throughout the project.
Skills
- Experience in the management of highly complex IT programs in different process models, as well as in the introduction and implementation of agile methods and team structures. Knowledge of cloud and cyber security is a plus, however, can be learned within the role.
- Strong attention to detail & data-driven reporting coupled with a growth mindset and ability to challenge the status quo to optimize ways of working.
- Active Project Management qualification e.g., Prince2, PMI.
- Completed university degree in a scientific, economics or technical subject with an IT focus, alternatively a comparable education.
- Experience with various project tools such as: Clarity, MS 365 tooling and Atlassian tooling (Jira and Confluence).
- Very good written and spoken English.
