How you will make an impact?

You will be an AI Solution Architect in the AI & Automation Platform, having as objective to unlock the potential of AI for the full METRO organization. We rapidly deliver business-driven AI solutions by integrating existing cloud models and APIs, rather than inventing new algorithms. We build digital agents and we engineer the future of smart wholesale by delivering pragmatic, secure, maintainable, and observable AI powered solutions, that drive business value. Your work will have an impact on how METRO works in the age of AI.

Your Responsibilities:

• Being a link between technical roles (i.e. AI engineers, automation engineers, data scientists), business stakeholders and the architecture community;
• Translate business goals into AI-powered solutions, ensuring technical feasibility through collaboration with squad leads, data scientists, AI engineers, and full stack engineers;
• Prototype and deliver POCs quickly by leveraging cloud-based AI/ML services and third-party LLM endpoints;
• Design agent and multi-agents solutions;
• Design the integration of the new AI solutions into our current enterprise application landscape;
• Create comparative analysis and technical recommendations across multiple AI solutions (agents orchestrators, open LLMs, computer vision solutions);
• Define technical standards, frameworks, and best practices for AI and ML systems;
• Advising business stakeholders on technical vision and strategy;
• You are inspiring and coaching the development teams to use the power of Google Cloud AI services/products;
• Being constantly on the lookout for new inspiration to improve the architecture in and beyond your area of responsibility.

Required key competencies and qualifications:

• Experience in architecting AI-powered products based on Google Cloud Platform;
• Experience in an architect role, especially in Cloud environments;
• Very good understanding of a diverse technology stack, and architectural approaches, to recommend appropriate software architecture and solutions to complex business problems;
• You are able to translate the impact of architecture and design choices on non-functional requirements like scalability, performance, availability and security, in the context of AI-powered solutions;
• You can discuss architecture principles for agent and multi-agents systems;
• Being able to translate business requirements into technical frameworks;
• A wide range of expertise that includes modern operations approaches (CI/CD pipelines, logging & monitoring) in the context of AI-powered solutions (i.e. chats, agents, ML models, computer vision models);
• Inspirational attitude towards the usage of AI solutions, keen on redefining how METRO works in the age of AI;
• Collaborative leader who can bridge technical, business and governance teams.
• Very good fluency in English (written and verbal).
