Role Description:

CDSClear IT
is the team behind the technology powering CDSClear – a critical clearing service within the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive
Release Manager
to lead and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of software releases related to our clearing service. This role is pivotal in ensuring that releases are delivered on time, with minimal disruption, and meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the full release lifecycle—from planning and scheduling to deployment and post-release support.
- Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and business teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery of software releases.
- Define and maintain release processes, standards, and documentation, including Release Notes and Deployment Runbooks.
- Hand over release execution to IT Support. (Releases are out of business hours. Candidate may be required to be online occasionally.)
- Monitor release performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work within a regulated financial environment, with a strong focus on cybersecurity and production controls.
Candidate Profile / Key Skills:
- Proven experience in release management within a complex software development environment.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (GitLab), and deployment automation tools (Ansible).
- Experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
- Solid understanding of blue-green deployment strategies and their application in production environments.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple releases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, and DevOps practices.
It would help us if you have:
- Experience in deploying Java applications into Linux based Cloud environment, enabling deeper technical understanding and collaboration with IT Development and Support teams.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and deployment automation.
