Job Description

As a rapidly growing start-up, we're looking for a new colleague who's and ambitious and enthusiastic communications specialist with exceptional writing and storytelling skills. The successful candidate is expected to be a strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail, working well under pressure, and meeting deadlines. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a positive image for our company by defining a strategy that establishes and maintains relationships with public interest groups (community, press, media, influencers). You will be in charge of writing short form and long form media communications, responding to requests for information and press conferences.

To be successful in this role, you will need a deep understanding of blockchain and crypto media intricacy and marketing landscape. Previous experience in dealing with traditional and online media institutions is also an advantage.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. To ensure success in this role you should be innovative, organized, and self-motivated with a keen interest in driving strategic messages to key internal and external role-players.

Communications Specialist Responsibilities:

• Studying the organization's objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services.
• Develop and implement a communication and public relation strategy that includes media outreach, updating and maintaining web content and social media content creation.
• Research and write press releases, and content for the company website, infographics, blogs, and newsletters.
• Adhere to the company's style guide, ensuring that we produce a high-quality and error-free copy.
• Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the company's policies, principles, and strategies, and keep up-to-date with relevant developments.
• Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the company's strategy and in support of various brand initiatives.
• Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
• Conferring with team members to identify trends and group interests and providing advice on business decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists and other key media players including influencers.

Communications Specialist Nice-to-haves:

Either

• Bachelors degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field (essential).
• A minimum of 2 years experience in communications strategy development (essential).

Or

• Ambitious and enthusiastic, youthful person with a must-win attitude.
• Proven social media and networking expertise.

And

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
• Highly computer literate with capability in social media platforms and automation along with related business and communication tools.
• Ability to pitch to public.
• Content writing experience for all media platforms.

• Project and budget management skills.
• Ability to run PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives.
• Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.

And Must

• Experience with Blockchain, DLT technologies, De-Fi and Cryptocurrencies is a must
• Familiarity with crypto-space trends and lingo
• Creativity in securing coverage and buzz with traditional and digital outlets.
• Understanding of social media and solid experience working with communities and key opinion leaders.
