As an
Accounts Assistant
, you will play a key role in supporting the finance team with daily accounting operations and financial reporting. Your responsibilities will involve maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update
    purchase and sales ledger
    entries in the accounting system;
  • Reconcile the
    cash book
    with both the accounting system and
    bank statements;
  • Perform
    customer and supplier account reconciliations
    , resolving any discrepancies or queries;
  • Set up new suppliers and update existing supplier information in the
    purchase ledger;
  • Assist in the
    preparation and submission of VAT returns
    , ensuring compliance with tax regulations;
  • Support the
    month-end and year-end closing
    processes for overseas subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting;
  • Provide assistance during
    internal and external audits;
  • Ensure all tasks comply with
    internal controls, accounting policies,
    and relevant
    external regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous
    experience in an accounting or finance role;
  • Strong written and verbal
    English communication skills;
  • High attention to detail and strong
    organizational skills;
  • Ability to
    manage multiple tasks
    and meet deadlines;
  • Proficiency with
    accounting software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with
    international subsidiaries;
  • Knowledge of
    VAT regulations
    and compliance practices;
  • Familiarity with
    audit processes.
