Role Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for successful implementation of Commercial Policy across sales channels in cross-functional environment in line with Group guidelines.

The Commercial Policy Manager will report directly to the Revenue Growth Management Head and will be responsible for partnering with Senior leaders and functions heads to develop end-to-end Commercial Policy strategy across channels based on RGM principles. The responsibilities are based on the commercial policy pillars: (i) transparency, (ii) trade terms, (iii) conditionality and (iv) credit policy.

What you will do

  • Prioritize channels based on size and growth potential and identify role of the channel in terms of overall System growth
  • Identify and prioritize key value drivers per each channel and address them through relevant terms and conditions
  • Embed performance and conditional buckets (where possible) to optimize conditional discount and improve discount productivity
  • Coordinate preparation of plans & targets related to Commercial Policy with Sales, Marketing and Finance team
  • Train Sales and Finance teams in all elements of the Commercial Policy and ensure full understanding of the requirements, accountabilities, and targets for their roles
  • Monitor, track and report execution of agreed Commercial Policy plans with proposal of actions for their improvements
  • Support RGM 2.0 framework implementation especially in the area relating to the Commercial Policy, channel evaluation and channel strategies
  • Continuously explore opportunities to improve Commercial policy end-to-end process & tools
  • Closely collaborate with various stakeholders from Group Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Finance & Supply Chain in the process of Commercial policy creation and delivery

What you will bring to the role

  • University Degree in business or other discipline (e.g., mathematics, economics)
  • +8 years of professional experience in marketing, sales and/or finance.
  • 3-5 years of FMCG experience is preferred.
  • Communication skills – advanced writing and communication skills, able to interact with and persuade individuals at levels senior, as well as to participate actively in meetings.
  • Analytical skills – must be able to perform complicated financial analyses and to determine basic analyses required to support the markets in their pricing decisions.
  • Computer skills – familiarity with computers and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Project management, commercial policy management and portfolio management experiences are a plus.
