As a Specialist Developer Advocate for our Internal Developer Platform (IDP), you'll act as the bridge between development teams and IT platform solutions, driving tool adoption, refining processes, and enabling developers to remain in their flow. Through hands-on workshops, feedback sessions, and engaging resources, you'll empower teams to use tools like GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and OpenShift effectively. Job Description
In this role, you will drive our Internal developer platform (IDP) utilization by leading advocacy efforts, building communities, collaborating with stakeholders, tracking success through KPIs, and creating resources to ensure seamless integration and innovation. You will improve how developers use our tools and the IDP. Your work will directly shape the developer experience, turning challenges into opportunities for growth and improvement.

In your new role you will:

• Advocate for platform adoption: Conducting demos, workshops, and personalized onboarding sessions to showcase the platform's capabilities and help teams integrate it into their workflows
• Create accessible resources: Developing clear and practical documentation, tutorials, and training guides that make complex tools like OpenShift, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines easy for teams to adopt
• Empower developers: Collaborating closely with them to identify pain points, gather actionable feedback, and create solutions to streamline their workflows and improve efficiency
• Lead by example: Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting integration challenges, and advocating for DevOps best practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and containerization
• Ensure alignment: Working across development, security, and operations teams to align platform tools and strategies with organizational goals while addressing developer needs

Your Profile
You blend strong collaboration and communication skills with a background in IT or software development. You excel at breaking down complex technical concepts, making them accessible and engaging for diverse audiences. Your collaborative nature and problem-solving mindset allow you to build strong relationships, navigate challenges effectively, and deliver creative, user-centered solutions.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A collaborative mindset, engaging with developers and building trust by addressing their needs and supporting their success
• A problem-solving attitude, identifying and resolving challenges, with a focus on improving workflows and ensuring seamless adoption of platform tools
• Great communication skills, showing the ability to simplify complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences, making learning accessible and engaging through written resources, tutorials, or interactive sessions
• Some experience with platforms like OpenShift, GitLab, or similar tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and tools like JFrog Artifactory or security tools such as SonarQube, BlackDuck, and OAuth is highly valued
• Experience in keeping track records of effective documentation, onboarding materials, and training resources that support and empower technical audiences
• A growth orientation and curiosity to uncover new use cases for the platform and refine it to deliver lasting value for developers
