About the role:

We are seeking a Subcontractor Procurement Manager to strengthen our transport operations in Western Europe. The main responsibility of this role is to identify, negotiate, and secure reliable carriers who can perform road freight services with trucks across Western Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and onboard new carriers for international road transport in Western Europe.
  • Negotiate rates, terms, and conditions with transport service providers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers to ensure long-term cooperation.
  • Monitor carrier performance (on-time delivery, quality of service, compliance).
  • Ensure all contracted carriers meet legal, safety, and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with the operations and forwarding teams to match carrier capacity with shipment needs.
  • Conduct regular market research to stay updated on pricing trends and carrier availability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the logistics/road transport sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the European road transport market.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional business relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Good command of English (additional European languages are an advantage).
