Project Controls Manager in Major Industrial projects

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in major industrial project management to meet technical, regulatory, quality, cost and time targets

Duties & responsibilities:

Project Controls Management:

  • Management of project from FEED (front-end-engineering design) phase to investment decision and project execution
  • Develops proper processes, standards and procedures to ensure coherent understanding of the project scope, objectives, and deliverables for the project
  • Applies efficient project management practice, tools and systems in development of project plans and associated deliverables, timelines and resource allocation
  • Monitor project costs to ensure they stay within the approved budget.
  • Identify cost overruns and implement corrective actions.
  • Track and report on project progress, including milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify schedule slippage and performance deviations.
  • Monitoring the continuous process improvement initiatives

Team Management:

  • Manages the employees and subcontractors' teams to ensure work schedules, project progress and resource allocation are met
  • Act as a liaison between different departments to resolve issues and facilitate decision-making.

Equipment & Materials Management:

  • Coordinates materials and equipment technical validation, contracting and delivery

Reporting:

  • Delivers periodic reviews, reports and presentations on project progress to management
  • Communicate effectively to ensure all parties are informed about the project's status.

Continuous improvement

  • Applies cost and risk control, as well as project optimization tools to attain efficiency in technical, commercial and safety projects terms

Compliance:

  • In collaboration with dedicated internal functions, evaluates and identifies risks and potential hazards and leads implementation of Safety Culture policies and best practices

Quality Control
:

  • Monitoring works and conducting quality inspections, ensuring that the work meets the project's quality standards

Cost Management:

  • Budgeting, expense tracking, cost forecasting and cost variations estimates,

Profile requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial major projects
  • Experience in executing contractual agreements and project financing
  • Experience in 3rd party relations management (partners, regulators, contractor, subcontractor representatives)
  • Track record of major projects management, including engineering, costing, planning and control methods, integration of contractual, commercial and financial functions
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Excellent planning, communication and leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of the industry regulations and legislative framework
  • Competence in MS Office program suite, Project Management software
  • Fluent English
  • Proactivity, increased attention to details
  • High integrity, ethical standards
