We're hiring Mid-Senior SEO Specialist (AI-Driven & GEO-Focused) in Bucharest, Romania

curious, data-driven, AI-savvy SEO Specialist
ready to push boundaries and grow with us.

What you'll do

You'll be part of a cross-functional team that builds organic growth strategies for major Romanian brands. Your focus will be blending classic SEO craft with cutting-edge AI workflows and GEO search understanding.

Your key missions:

• Run
  technical, content, and entity-based SEO audits
  (on-page, off-page, technical, competitors, GEO).
• Build and implement
  AI-augmented SEO strategies
  — from keyword and entity mapping to adaptive optimization strategies for a diverse search landscape.
• Optimize for
  SGE, zero-click searches, voice and multimodal results
  , ensuring visibility beyond blue links.
• Monitor and improve
  Core Web Vitals
  , crawlability, and indexation using modern tools (Sitebulb, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, SEOMonitor).
• Leverage
  AI tools (ChatGPT/GPTs, Gemini, Perplexity, Clearscope, Surfer)
  for content optimization, clustering, and data interpretation.
• Align SEO initiatives with
  business KPIs
  and client goals, turning insights into measurable growth.
• Translate technical findings into clear client communication and actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with teammates from strategy, content, and client success to design integrated campaigns.
• Share insights internally: teach, present, and contribute to innovation projects within Upswing Innovation programs.

What makes you a great fit

Experience & Knowledge

• 3–5+ years in SEO (agency or in-house, ideally in multi-industry portfolios)
• Confident in
  GA4, GSC, GTM
  , and
  data visualization tools
  (Looker Studio, Power BI, Sheets)
• Strong understanding of
  HTML, CSS, Schema
  , and how
  JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)
  impact SEO
• Up to date with
  SGE, GEO personalization
  ,
  entity SEO
  , and
  E-E-A-T implementation
• Comfortable using
  AI and automation tools
  to scale analysis and content workflows
• Nice to have:
  experience with
  prompt engineering
  ,
  voice search
  , or
  AI-based prediction models
