About the position
This full-time position is based in Bucharest and will be responsible for all the day-to-day bookkeeping, processing and accounting for Romania activity. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and be extra-motivated to go above and beyond to keep books in order and in time.
Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Receivable: invoice generation, payment collection, record maintenance, customer inquiries, and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage Accounts Payable: invoice processing, vendor payments, record keeping, and resolving vendor queries.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Process payroll and ensure timely salary payments.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger and fixed assets.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and budget vs. actual analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Assist with quarterly financial statements.
- Handle day-to-day financial administration and provide ongoing assistance to other departments.
- Identify inefficiencies and develop strategies to automate and enhance accuracy, ensuring continuous improvement and seamless integration with other departments.
Requirements
- 2-3 years' experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
- Proactive approach for problem solution.
- Degree in Accounting or Economics
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
- Excellent organisational skills, ability to work to tight deadlines and a positive can-do attitude
- Experience with payroll calculations –
an advantage - Experience working with SAP B1–
an advantage - Experience working with Salesforce–
an advantage - Experience in implementing new features within ERP/BI system environments–
an advantage - Excellent English and Romanian language skills are a must

- You must have strong data entry skills and a knack for numbers – be highly attentive to details and keep your finger on the pulse
- Good organizational skills are key to getting you far in accounting, so things don't fall out of balance
- You must be a thorough and accurate worker who is able to recognize errors when made, and takes the necessary steps to correct them
- You should be a fast-paced mover with strong interpersonal relation skills, who is able to work efficiently both independently and in a team
- Don't let rules confine you – thinking outside the box is necessary at such a role in such a dynamic environment
- You must be a great communicator who is able to convey messages in a clear and concise manner (in English and Romanian)
