Job Title: Level 2 Backoffice Engineer – German Speaking (MUST)

Location:
Timisoara, Romania (Hybrid – 3 days/week from office)

Work Type:
1 Year Fixed Term Contract

Working Hours:
Business Hours + 24*7 On-Call Support (minimum 1 week per month)

Level 2 Backoffice Engineers (German Speaking)
with strong
NOC/SOC experience
,
network monitoring
, and
incident management
skills.

This role requires
German language proficiency (B1 and above)
and strong technical expertise in
telecom networks, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting
.

General Requirements (Must-Have):

  • NOC / SOC experience
    with knowledge of SLAs and KPIs
  • Strong skills in
    network monitoring tools
    and
    ticketing tools
  • Understanding of networking concepts (
    CCNA / CCNP level
    )
  • Familiarity with
    service provider architecture / infrastructure
  • English proficiency (C1–C2)
  • German proficiency B1 or above
    (Mandatory)
  • Self-reliant, proactive, and fast learner

Specific Requirements (Nice-to-Have):

  • Linux administration
    experience
  • Knowledge of
    FTTx and xDSL (VDSL, Vectoring)
  • Experience in
    optical networks (WDM)
    – access & transport
  • Understanding of
    MPLS / IP networks
  • Familiarity with
    Nokia SR, Nokia OLT, Nokia DSLAM
  • Knowledge of
    AAA and Firewalls
  • Microwave technology (Ceragon preferred)
  • TCP/IP stack and protocols: Ethernet, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, L2-L3 VPN
  • Experience in
    network automation (bash/python)

Daily Activities:

  • Diagnose and resolve
    minor, major, and critical alarms
  • Create and close
    incident tickets
    within SLA timelines
  • Support
    network availability, performance, and troubleshooting
  • Provide
    on-call 24x7 support
    (minimum 1 week/month rotation)
