Role Overview

The SAP FICO Consultant is responsible for the day-to-day operation, support, and continuous optimization of the SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO) modules. This role ensures stable system performance, effective financial processing, and seamless integration with other SAP modules while providing expert technical and functional support to global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily operational support and maintenance for SAP FICO, including system configuration, master data management, issue analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of SAP financial systems to ensure accurate and efficient processing of general ledger, financial statements, and sub-ledger functions
  • Manage and support SAP system upgrades, data migrations, and integrations with related modules such as SD, MM, PP, HR, and others
  • Deliver technical and functional consulting services to support and improve financial processes, resolving complex system and business issues
  • Collaborate with international teams and customers, delivering technical support across different time zones
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system stability, performance, and user experience

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of
    3 years of hands-on experience
    in SAP FICO implementation, support, or operations
  • At least
    3 years of experience working on international or multinational projects
    , with a strong understanding of global finance operations and local regulatory requirements
  • Proven experience across the
    full SAP FICO lifecycle
    , including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in SAP system optimization and performance tuning
  • Solid understanding of SAP FICO integration with other SAP modules, including SD, MM, PP, and HR
  • Working knowledge of
    ABAP
    , with the ability to develop and enhance basic reports

Financial & Regulatory Knowledge

  • Familiarity with international accounting standards such as
    IFRS
    and
    US GAAP
  • Understanding of multinational tax regulations and financial reporting requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in
    Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science
    , or a related field

Certifications (Preferred)

  • SAP FICO-related certifications, such as:
  • SAP Certified Application Associate – Financial Accounting with SAP ERP

Language Requirements

  • Fluent
    English
    , both written and spoken, for professional communication
  • Additional language skills (e.g.,
    Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Arabic
    ) are a strong advantage
