Hacksaw Studios is a company that builds online games. Our games can be played both in social gaming and real money modes. We have wide distribution, and our games are played by millions of people every month by players all over the world.
We are currently looking to expand our design team with a Project Manager who will lead the development process of our game studio. You will be part of our game development team and work in a tight knit team involving many roles including artists, front-end developers and back-end developers. We have multiple games in development at all times and are now looking for a project manager who can work full-time on ensuring that our development process works as smoothly as possible.
We offer a nice office in Bucharest, an opportunity to work with other experienced game developers and the chance to take part in building a team.
Please note that this job requires working from the office.
Your tasks will include:
- Game Development Coordination:
Ensure the game development process operates smoothly to minimize delays and disruptions. - Customer Communication:
Engage with customers to understand their requirements, gather feedback, and establish deadlines. - Bug Investigation and Resolution:
Investigate bug reports, prioritize them, and ensure timely fixes. - Task Tracking and Prioritization:
Use our ticketing system to track, prioritize, and manage various parts of the game development process. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure our games comply with all regulatory requirements (training will be provided). - Industry Knowledge:
Stay up-to-date with online gaming industry trends and player preferences. - Progress Reviews:
Participate in game progress reviews and provide feedback on implementation processes. - Documentation:
Create and maintain documentation and reference materials for customers as required.
Required skills and experience
- Project Management Experience:
Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. - Language Skills:
Proficient in written and spoken English; Swedish is a plus. - Organizational Skills:
Highly structured and organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing demands. - Communication Skills:
Strong ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and management. - Leadership:
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to unite and motivate a team. - Tech Savvy:
Keen interest in tech, programming, gaming, and iGaming, with a willingness to learn more. - Ticketing Systems:
Experience with ticketing systems such as Gitlab, Trello, , etc., is beneficial. - Microsoft Office:
Experience with Excel and PowerPoint is a plus. - Gaming Experience:
Personal interest or experience in gaming and iGaming is advantageous but not required.

In order to succeed in this role, you need to be very structured and organized. We will teach you what you need to know about the iGaming industry, but going forward you will be expected to take ownership of the game development process and work day-to-day with artists and game developers to ensure that the process flows as smoothly as possible. You will also be one of the main points of contact with our customers to collect feedback and set deadlines.
