We are a growing
chain of private schools in Romania
, and we are looking for a
HR Business Partner
to join our leadership team. This is a key role, reporting directly to the Executive Management Team, with a mission to build, structure, and lead the people agenda across all locations.

Your Mission:

You will act as a trusted advisor and business partner to the leadership team, school directors, and educational staff, ensuring the development of a high-performing, engaged, and values-driven organization. You will play a strategic and hands-on role in shaping our people agenda from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with school directors and the executive committee
    to define and implement the human resources strategy aligned with our educational mission and organizational goals.
  • Coach and support school leaders and staff
    to improve individual and team performance, leadership capabilities, and workplace culture.
  • Design and implement all HR policies and procedures
    , ensuring compliance with Romanian labor law and best practices in education and HR.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding
    processes to attract and integrate top educational talent.
  • Manage disciplinary cases and performance issues
    with fairness, consistency, and confidentiality.
  • Address and manage poor performance
    , working with managers to identify root causes and development solutions.
  • Oversee compensation & benefits (C&B) strategies and policies
    , ensuring competitiveness, transparency, and internal equity.
  • Manage and continuously improve employee performance evaluation processes
    , ensuring they are fair, transparent, and development-focused.
  • Design and implement retention strategies
    to reduce turnover and increase staff engagement and satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular stay interviews and exit interviews
    , and use the data to improve retention efforts and internal communication.
  • Act as a culture ambassador
    , promoting values-based behaviors, employee wellbeing, and a strong sense of community

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as an
    HR Business Partner or HR Generalist
    , ideally in multi-site organizations.
  • Strong understanding of
    Romanian labor law
    , HR compliance, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work
    strategically and operationally
    , with a hands-on, problem-solving attitude.
  • Experience in
    coaching leaders
    , change management, and organizational development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both
    Romanian and English
    .
  • A degree in
    Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field
    .
