Your Mission

As an Application Specialist Channels, you will be the technical expert responsible for ensuring our customers receive the full value of Sandvik Coromant' s Total Solutions Offer. You'll work closely with end customers and channel partners to implement innovative tooling solutions, support sales activities, and drive business growth in line with our global strategy and local business plans.

Location of the successful candidate is within the territory of Romania.

Key Responsibilities

As an Application Specialist Channels, you will design high-impact technical solutions that elevate customer productivity and operational performance. You'll lead end-to-end implementation of advanced tooling and machining strategies, collaborating closely with Account Managers to support both end-users and channel partners. By executing targeted Account and Customer Value Plans, you'll expand our footprint across strategic customer segments. Your role includes diagnosing complex manufacturing challenges, optimizing production workflows, and delivering measurable improvements through technical project execution. You'll manage sales pipelines and opportunity data in Dynamics 365, ensuring precision in forecasting and business planning. As a technology ambassador, you'll introduce innovative solutions aligned with future manufacturing trends, while building strong, trust-based relationships with production teams to secure long-term, profitable partnerships.

• Provide expert-level support in technical products, applications, systems, and services—on-site or remotely—to maximize business opportunities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during or after solution implementation.
• Lead cross-functional coordination for seamless project execution and solution delivery.
• Design and execute customer-specific applications, testing, and integrated offers.
• Provide technical training and knowledge transfer across customer, partner, and internal teams in collaboration with Sandvik Coromant Centers.
• Troubleshoot implementation issues and document performance outcomes to support product development.
• Document performance and savings of applied solutions through PA reports to support product development and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure precise solution configuration and installation.
• Monitor competitor technologies and share actionable insights with sales and R&D.

Your profile

You bring a solid education in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline—alternatively, equivalent hands-on experience in technical fields is highly valued. With 5–7 years of proven expertise in cutting tools and machining applications, you possess deep knowledge of manufacturing processes in metal cutting and their optimization. Your track record demonstrates the ability to translate technical insight into measurable business results. You're experienced in managing complex technical projects end-to-end and skilled in building collaborative relationships that drive customer value. Fluency in the local language is essential, and your intermediate English proficiency ensures effective communication across global teams and technical documentation.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
