About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Program Manager to lead a critical Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) implementation project for a fixed term contract for a 3 month project. This role requires strong governance leadership, meticulous planning, and the ability to drive delivery across complex technical and operational landscapes. The Program Manager will serve as the primary point of accountability for project execution, ensuring successful delivery aligned with business objectives, timeframes, and budgets.
Responsibilities
Program Kick-Off & Governance Setup
Define and implement program governance framework, steering committee structure, and stakeholder engagement model.
- Facilitate project initiation activities including stakeholder alignment, charter definition, and team mobilization.
Integrated Planning & Risk Management
Develop and maintain the Integrated Project Plan, aligning with delivery milestones and stakeholder expectations.
- Establish and manage the RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), ensuring timely mitigation strategies are in place.
Phase Gate Management
Drive phase entrance and exit sign-offs, ensuring each project stage meets defined criteria before progressing.
- Coordinate readiness assessments and quality reviews to validate deliverables at each project milestone.
Executive Reporting & Financial Oversight
Deliver concise, data-driven executive reports highlighting status, risks, KPIs, and critical path updates.
- Monitor and manage project margin, ensuring budget adherence and cost control across all workstreams.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with engineering, security, compliance, infrastructure, and cloud operations teams to align DRaaS capabilities with recovery objectives.
- Ensure that DRaaS testing and validation cycles meet Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
Stakeholder Communication & Alignment
Act as the central point of contact between technical teams, business units, and executive leadership.
- Ensure alignment of DRaaS strategies with enterprise resilience goals and regulatory compliance needs.
About You
The essentials:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in Program or Project Management, preferably in IT infrastructure, cloud services, or disaster recovery projects.
- Strong understanding of Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and DRaaS platforms and principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in program management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet).
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP/Prince2, Basic ITIL, PgMP, or equivalent certification preferred.
Not a Must, But a Plus
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and disaster recovery orchestration tools.
- Experience working in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.) with high availability and compliance requirements.
- Background in risk management, compliance, or IT governance.
