Production Manager – Welding & Steel Fabrication
with a strong technical background in welding engineering for a
well-known company specialized in the manufacturing of metal structures and industrial components
. We are looking for a proactive leader who can oversee production operations, implement improvements, and ensure the efficient execution of projects.

Location:
On-site, daily presence required Bucharest, Romania

Main Purpose of the Job:

Lead and manage the entire production process, ensuring that manufacturing operations are efficient, cost-effective, and meet quality standards. The role requires a hands-on approach, with the ability to analyze technical documentation, propose optimizations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Profile:

  • Oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with shift supervisors to coordinate operations across multiple shifts.
  • Review technical drawings and documentation for projects such as bridges, identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Implement and monitor production processes, making adjustments as necessary to improve efficiency.
  • Propose and implement improvements to manufacturing techniques and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Train and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with other departments, including engineering and quality assurance, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in metal structures or heavy industry.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes and technical drawing interpretation.
  • Proven experience in implementing process improvements and optimizing production workflows.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
