Our team is a distributed group of specialists who make the best out of JVM-based technologies, creativity and business solutions. We are referred to as Java Competence Center, where we co-create and co-accelerate with key players in any field.

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing software solutions that support production control systems for various components, including exterior parts and carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFK). The focus is on continuous improvement and ensuring high production quality across multiple global locations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering and migrating database structures in Cloud to support innovative and scalable solutions
  • Analyzing database performance and implementing targeted tuning measures to maximize efficiency and reliability
  • Designing and implementing automated solutions for managing database structures, improving internal user experience and operational efficiency
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of database solutions with existing platforms and workflows

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in a software engineering-related discipline, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a database administrator or in a similar role
  • Strong expertise in relational databases such as MariaDB, PostgreSQL or OracleDB
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
