Job Title: It Application Owner

Key Responsibilities of an IT Application Owner include application lifecycle management, stakeholder management, regulatory compliance, and sound development lifecycle.

  • Manage multiple stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth operations.
  • Ensure the application is compliant with company policies based on regulatory requirements.
  • Be accountable for high service availability and stability while managing projects for maintenance or enhancements.
  • Raise tickets and prioritize these for the development team in an agile environment.
  • Support further development by ensuring availability and stability of relevant environment stages.
  • Livestock a DevOps approach by setting up monitoring, configuring deployment automation tools, preparing software packages, raising, and implementing changes.
  • Implement configuration and software changes on test and production environments.
  • Analyze log files.
  • Security patching (e.g., JDK, Tomcat, WebLogic).
  • Fix infrastructure-related security issues.
  • Initiate change requests.
  • Certificate renewals.
  • Implement software configuration changes.
  • Monitor technical performance of applications and engage issues.


Requirements:

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to create and maintain good business relationships with stakeholders.
  • Good presentation and communication skills in English. Additional German knowledge is a plus.
  • Highly organized and self-driven worker with strong analytical skills.
  • ITIL processes (incident-, problem-, change-management).
  • Professional experience of at least 2 years in a global IT organization.
  • Preferable hands-on experience in software development, governance, project management, application management, or operations.
  • Agile environment experience is a plus, as well as familiarity with scrum.
  • A strong understanding of some products/technologies below is highly welcomed:
    • Microservices.
    • Docker.
    • Red Hat OpenShift.
    • Coding languages and frameworks (Java, Spring Boot, Node Js).
    • Application/web servers (WebLogic Server, Tomcat).
    • Database technology and scripting (Oracle).
    • Unix (log file analysis, configuration).
    • Communication and encryption protocols (SSL, TLS).
    • Networking (firewalls, load balancers).
    • Agile delivery tools (Jira & Confluence).
    • Splunk or similar solutions, e.g., ELKCI/CD toolchain (UCD, Bitbucket, TeamCity, Artifactory).
