Software Development Team Lead Position

This role is designed for a seasoned software development professional who can oversee the daily operations of an engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Java Script, PHP, and React, as well as strong leadership skills to mentor and guide team members.

Main Responsibilities
  • Translate client needs into scalable, maintainable architectures by developing and implementing effective solutions.
  • Refactor and improve Legacy systems with a focus on performance, security, and reliability.
  • Prioritise delivery with project managers and support early-stage solution design.
  • Drive clean code, peer reviews, and team mentoring to ensure high-quality results.
  • Use a portion of time for research and development, including AI, new frameworks, or cloud technologies.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong commercial experience with Java Script (Node.js), PHP, and React.
  • Familiarity with Type Script, Laravel, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, and Docker.
  • Exposure to AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and secure web application design.
  • Real leadership experience-mentoring, code quality ownership, and architectural input.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
