This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality care and enhancing the lives of residents in a residential care setting.

As a Residential Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a nurturing atmosphere that promotes dignity and independence among residents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing essential support and assistance to individuals, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and valued
  • Assisting residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and medication administration
  • Supporting residents with mobility and physical exercises as required
  • Monitoring and documenting residents' health and well-being, promptly reporting any changes to the care team
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to enhance residents' quality of life
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in resident living areas
  • Collaborating with healthcare staff to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in residential care or a similar role is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An empathetic approach with a dedication to patient-centered care
  • The capability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • A willingness to relocate to Ireland and adapt to a new culture
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in care or healthcare support are advantageous
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes
