Railway Infrastructure Manager

The Rail Project Coordinator role is a key position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects from initiation to completion. This dynamic individual will serve as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

• Coordination of consulting and supervision teams in each work point.
• Collaboration with parties involved to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review of Contractor's work situations and monthly progress reports.
• Distribution of tasks to Deputy and other experts, site managers, short-term experts, administrative staff, and auxiliary personnel.
• Verification of services compliance with terms of reference.
• Certification of Contractor's monthly and final work reports.
• Monitoring compliance by Contractor with designer/authorized bodies' provisions and measures.
• Sending periodic, final, and additional reports as requested by Beneficiary.
• Inspection of works during warranty period and submission of related reports.
• Establishment of monthly meetings with Contractor regarding work stage, notification of Beneficiary, preparation of agenda, drawing up minutes, and organization of site visits.
• Presentation of comments regarding submitted complaints, classification, and filing. Comments must indicate possible scenarios for problem definition and solution, with special reports drawn up for Contracting Entity upon complaint resolution.
• Assistance to Contracting Entity in situations arising from checks or controls carried out by authorized bodies during project execution and beyond.
• Evaluation of technical solutions proposed by Contractor for all systems, with acceptance by Contracting Entity.
• Analysis of requests for project extension period and additional unforeseen costs, with complete reports and recommendations for Contracting Entity.
• Preparation of additional contract documents, financial management of works contract, checking and confirming Contractor's cash flow, making cost forecasts, maintaining payment database, and keeping necessary records for audit purposes.
• Verification of compliance with legal provisions regarding requirements established by Law no. 10/1995 on quality in constructions and its amendments, in case of changes to documentation or adoption of new solutions altering initial conditions.
• Participation in technological tests of installations, equipment, and machinery functioning.
• Pursuit of special authorizations for operation of installations and machines requiring such according to law (ISCIR, ISU, etc.).
• Maintenance of weekly archives for approved entities, preparation of payment documents, verification of payable quantities referring only to executed works with quality approval.
• Organization of contract implementation.
• Participation in all work receptions.

We recognize that each applicant brings different experience. The ideal candidate will possess:

• Higher education in construction.
• At least 10 years of seniority.
• Experience in at least one contract in similar positions within consultancy contracts and/or supervision of execution works and/or consultancy and/or supervision of design and execution works and/or execution works and/or design and execution of new construction works and/or modernization and/or rehabilitation of railway infrastructure (excluding metro and tram projects).
• Strong computer skills (recognized finance software and Microsoft applications).
• Good spoken and written English.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Communication ability, analysis and synthesis capacity, decision-making capacity.
• Ability to work under stress and extended schedule.
• Assuming responsibilities and maintaining confidentiality.
