As an Operations Director, you will play a key role in leading our operational teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Representing all operational teams at the Senior Leadership Team level
- Ensuring we hire and train the right people in all operational teams
- Providing leadership support to direct reports and ensuring they deliver against their Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
- Managing all company-wide transition plans, certifications, and audits
- Helping set and monitor the operational team's OKRs
- Improving the business OKRs through process adjustments based on analysis and collaboration with other departments
- Managing all operational team budgets and capacity plans
- Ensuring there is high visibility of the work being done inside operations to the rest of the business
The outcomes that indicate success in one year are:
- Setting and owning the strategic direction for operations throughout the business
- Supporting the hiring of top talent
- Defining a strong culture that ensures employee retention is high, evidenced by a >4.5/5 rating from your department in your first year
- Ensuring everyone in your department is always learning with consistent use of retrospectives, general and targeted employee training
- Maintaining solid, transparent relationships with cross-departmental leaders, evidenced by a >4/5 rating from all other departments in your first year
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Review our OKRs to determine which ones are most important
- Identify the root problem for not meeting our objectives
- Lead project management and change management initiatives
- Conduct deep dives with teams to resolve issues
- Minimum 6 years of experience in operations, process, or project management
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior leadership position
- Experience managing remote teams
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Experience in managing budgets and business planning
- Experience in identifying and nurturing potential leaders
