Job Title:

Cyber Defense Expert

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Defense Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, investigating, containing, and responding to cybersecurity alerts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough cybersecurity investigations using critical thinking skills.
  • Collaborate with the CSIRT team on containment and response activities.
  • Manage cases effectively, documenting all investigative actions taken.
  • Participate in rotational opportunities across the Security Coordination Center.
  • Engage in case reviews, identifying areas for improvement and mentoring junior analysts.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and attack vectors.
  • Act as a member of a global, 24/7 cyber defensive operations team.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in conducting comprehensive cybersecurity investigations.
  • Strong understanding of threat intelligence, malware analysis, and network security concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM and familiarity with various security tools and investigation data sets.
  • Solid grasp of security and privacy fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, FERPA, and PCI.
