About the Role

ING Hubs Romania is seeking a seasoned professional to join its team as a Data Protection Expert. This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with stakeholders across the organization to drive the implementation of data protection policies and procedures, ensuring seamless compliance with national and European regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data ethics, with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to develop processes that provide structure and discipline. A legal background and relevant data protection qualifications would be advantageous, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of data protection policies and procedures, ensuring seamless compliance with national and European regulations;

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for improvement and implement process changes;

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, business leaders, and regulatory bodies;

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on data protection matters, ensuring that the organization remains up-to-date with the latest regulations and best practices;

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with data protection, ensuring the organization's reputation and integrity are maintained at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, computer science, information systems);

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field (e.g., data protection, compliance, risk management);

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to develop processes that provide structure and discipline;

  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data ethics;

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner;

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
